20 Most Underrated Films Of All Time
20) A death in the gunj

Director | Release year | IMDb | Language |
---|---|---|---|
Konkona sen sharma | 2016 | 7.5/10 | Hindi ( Bollywood ) |
Plot: It is an Indian drama, a part of life, an artistic film, yes. But an entertaining and engaging story set in 1979 about one family, from Jharkhand. The title sounds like a murder mystery, however, it’s more of an ‘art film’ (as was the previous terminology). It’s gripping for the viewer who listens but will seem boring for most contemporary viewers. This movie is all about the expressions and body language of the characters which have been perfectly portrayed by the ‘star’ cast especially Vikram Massey. It takes you back to those nostalgic “summer vacations” where you would just while around in a rural home with grandparents. The best thing about it is the direction that makes you actually live through the days in the story ‘with’ the characters.
